Medical First Aid (MFA)

This model course provides training in elementary first aid at operator’s level and is based on the provisions of table A-VI/4/1 of the STCW Code. This course is for seafarers designated to provide first aid on-board and those needing certificates of competency. Participants will gain sufficient knowledge to take emergency duties in the case of injury or illness on the ship.

Shipboard Catering Management Course Full (SCMC-F)

This course fulfilled Standard  A3.2 Para 4 of Maritime  Labour Convention 2006. To produce well-rounded catering crew with appropriate knowledge, skill, competence with positive attitude, respect for maritime best practices and high moral values

Duration            : 5 days theory class

Bridge Resource Management (BRM)

On completion of the course the trainee should be able to demonstrate sufficient understanding and knowledge of leadership and team working and have the relevant skills to competently carry out the duties on navigational bridge. The trainees also will have gained experience in handling ships under various conditions and will make a more effective contribution to the bridge team during ship maneuvering in normal and emergency situations. Trainee will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the importance of preventing pollution to the marine environmental.

Ship Security Awareness (SSA)

Those who successfully completed this course should achieve the required standard of competence enabling them to contribute to the enhancement of maritime security through heightened awareness and the ability to recognize security threats and to respond appropriately.

Basic Training for Oil & Chemical Tanker (BTOCT)

A trainee successfully completing the course should be able to perform basic duties and responsibilities related to cargo or cargo equipment on board oil and chemical tanker. This course provides training to candidates to be duly qualified with specific duties for loading, unloading and care in transit or handling of oil and chemical cargoes. It comprises a basic training program appropriate to their duties, including basic training for oil and chemical tanker safety, fire safety measures, pollution prevention, operational practice and obligations under applicable law and regulations.

Basic Training Refresher (BTR)

The BTR aims to refresh the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to perform the role as seafarer effectively. Delegates will receive appropriate STCW ’78 as amended approved basic training in: personal survival techniques, fire prevention and firefighting, elementary first-aid, personal safety and social responsibilities. The refresher training has to be done every 5 years.

Basic Training for Oil Liquefied Gas Tanker (BTLGT)

This course provides training to candidates to be duly qualified under Section A – V/1-2 of the STCW code with specific duties for loading, unloading and care in transit or handling of liquefied gas cargoes. It comprises a basic training programme appropriate to their duties, including liquefied gas tanker safety, fire safety measures, pollution prevention, operational practice and obligations under applicable law and regulations. The course covers the competence requirements as given in the table under Section A-V/1-2-1 of the STCW Code adopted by the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978 as amended in 2010.

Leadership & Management Skill (LMS)

The five (5) day thirty-five will cover all pertinent areas of senior leadership concepts, techniques and skills as currently reflected in academic writings and as collected from “real life” experiences of individuals who have been in positions of leadership.  Course instructors have been or are responsible for the success of the ships and/or maritime organizations and the individuals who work to support those organizations.  Additionally, the course provides communication, interpersonal conduct, and meeting/group interaction techniques and skills that assist and augment the attendee’s efforts to be a successful, safe, and effective leader.

Ship Security Officer (SSO)

This STCW Ship Security Officer online course provides training about how to develop, implement, maintain and supervise Ship Security Plans, and how to identify threats, vulnerabilities and assessment of security risks.

The Ship Security Officer online course (SSO) is in accordance with the Mandatory Minimum Requirements for the Issue of Certificates of Proficiency for Ship Security Officers, set out in STCW A-VI/5 and the IMO Model Course 3.19

Basic Training (BT)

The STCW Basic Safety Training qualification comprises five modules which take five days to complete. The modules are personal survival training, firefighting, first aid and CPR, personal safety and social responsibility, and proficiency in security awareness. We also strongly recommend that you speak to a career counselor about mandatory security training

Designated Security Duties (DSD)

The STCW Designated Security Duties training (DSD) is aimed at all maritime personel, with exception of the Ship Security Officer, who is responsible for specific safety tasks. After completion of the STCW Designated Secutity training, the participant will be able to carry out assigned safety procedures. The respective STCW Designated Security Duties training certificate is valid indefinitely. The STCW Designated Security Duties course takes 1.5 days to complete. After successful completion the student is awarded with the STCW (A-VI/6-2) certificate, which does not expire.

Person in Overall Advisory Control (POAC)

The purpose of this course is to train POAC, Pilots or Mooring Masters as well as Captains and Officers in advanced ship manoeuvring techniques during STS operations by improving communication and mutual understanding between the Captain of the mother vessel and the Pilot or Mooring Master on the daughter vessel during maneuvering. This is ensured through theory and simulator exercises, and in that way a high level of skills in relation to close quarter STS operations is ensured.

International Maritime Dangerous Goods Awareness (IMDGGA)

This three-day course will provide the participants with a comprehensive understanding and valuable knowledge of the requirements and compliance issues of international transport of dangerous goods. The course will cover the current International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG) and the new and important changes in Amendment 38-16. In addition to discussion of the IMDG Code, the attendees will participate in group activities and various case studies that will enhance their learning process.

Crowd Management (CM)

Crowd Management Training is required for all personnel designated to assist passengers in an emergency as per STCW. This course provides seafarers with the necessary knowledge, understanding and proficiency to carry out designated duties and help ensure safety on board passenger ships in accordance with international regulations leading to certification

Train of Trainer 6.09 (TOT 6.09)

A ten days course aimed at giving the students the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to research, design, prepare and deliver short professional courses for maritime people working, or wishing to work, within the maritime industry. The course will concentrate on the learning styles of students and the reasons for tutors to develop a range of delivery strategies. The first day will also include discussion about possible sources of quality information and the range of methods that could be employed in assembling the information into a suitable learning structure. The course will cover a micro teaching session where each student will design and deliver a ten minute presentation to the other students and the tutor. The recorded session will be reviewed by the class and the “peer” feedback given to the student.

Medical First Aid (MFA)

The medical first aid on board and medical care on board training courses are being introduced for all types of ships in the merchant, fisheries and sailing ship sectors. The captain and the persons responsible for medical care on board must be in the possession of both certificates (Medical First Aid and Medical Care). In a number of cases a medical first aid on board certificate will be sufficient, for example on ships navigating near the Dutch coast in a navigation area extending to the Dutch territorial sea and the connecting zone of the Kingdom of the Netherlands bordering the Dutch territorial sea. This is because onshore support can be available.
